I think it is also bullshit that he claimed it was a back injury, and last a day or so ago someone saw him at a TMV concert. Mother fucker..........

Man, thing with Spart is, they are so obviously outclassed by The Mars Volta. I would welcome any kinda reunion, partial or whatever.

i have to agree, although i love sparta. austere was not as good as tremulant, wiretap scars was not as genius as de-loused in the comatorium and porcelain was only half as awful as frances the mute. therefore, tmv win.

this pretty much sucks :\ sparta were cool.
man, jim would be spewin. he'd be all like "oh well thanks paul. why dont you just stab me in the back next time... tryin to replace jeremy..."
yeah im just joking, but i wonder what the band members' (from both sides) thoughts are?

well if paul did end up joining tmv .. then cedric and omar are probably feeling satisfied with the size of their ego

I really don't think Cedric and Omar like Jim, that's why ATD-I will never get back together

Post by Bradley on Jun 7, 2005 16:28:06 GMT -5
haha. yeah. Look at their live performances, Jim is totally different to them two. And I swear he looks at them with jealousy, like "I wish I could move like that". Emo-geek.

to me jim just seems just the type who'd whine at cedric and omar continuously none-stop. i dont know why but in my head i've just got the idea that jim was responsible for the breakup

Cos he looks like a Whiner. Anyway I starting listening to Porcelain, I had to stop 2 songs in cos it was so pedestrian. I decided I really hate his voice. Stick to "Cut away, Cut Awaaaaay!" boyo.

Yeah I've got that one. Hilarious. Like two different bands up there. Sometimes I think Jim actually carried them live, when Cedric's not singing, and Omar has thrown his guitar and he's just dancing. It's just Jim there singing and playing guitar. So out of order. At least stay for the song, lads!

It was all Omar, and he sorta admits it. He was bored with the music and wanted to leave. Of cours Cedric was going to follow him because him and Omar are inserperatable (sp?). Omar is controlling. In one of the interviews I have with a radio station DJ, he says that he is power hungry and likes to be in control. He likes to make all of the decisions musically. In fact, the rest of the band mates didn't even know what the music for Frances the Mute was even going to be like, he kept them in the dark. I think because ATD-I was sort of Jim's baby pissed off Omar because he is a control freak. Before any of you get defensive, ,take the time and find the audio interview. It is floating around somewhere

Yeah, that's not collaboration, man. No, that's really interesting about Omar, DD, I did not know that. So they're like a Morrissey/Marr where one of them is really controling and particular. Cept here the music man is the one who's controlling. And Cedric doesnt' mind? What's going on?!

I like The Mars Volta, but anyone else think they're more than a little pretentious sometimes? Hello, I'm experimental. i sometimes get the feeling that they're trying to rise above sparta by being extra artistic. i dont really know how to look at it. basically without being prejudiced at all i loved tremulant and liked deloused - i guess i didnt like the overall sound of the album
