Oh sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt.) Aah, that's okay. So, I got my wife, you know, the brunette, a plastic Marilyn Monroe mask for her birthday the other day . . . . . Well, we rented a hotel room that night. So, she got dressed up like Marilyn and I got dressed up like both Jack and Bobby Kennedy. You know, the dark blue suit, green silk tie, Florsheim shoes, and a St. Christopher's Medal, right? Comfortable. So, before you know it, we're both naked on the floor having oral sex together and I realize I had to cut Marilyn's plastic lips off if I wanted to drive deep. I've got 'em right here in my pocket, wanna see 'em? I guess the short dark hairs distracted me because I started moaning "Oh Jackie. Oh Jackie." And she started screaming, "Oh Mr. Gable, you finally rose back up from the dead." Then she started holding me like a microphone and sang, "Diamonds are a girl's best friend." I started shining like a sunlit temple for Apollo. So I sang "Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm schizophrenic, and so am I." Then she said, "Well, 23 Skidoo!" It was the biggest fucking group orgy I've ever had with one woman. Listen, Marilyn was so hip, she had AIDS years before it became popular. Well, when I realized that it was too late to call the Supreme Court and ask for their approval as to whether I could have a mutual orgasm with Miss Monroe . . . . I started a-twitchin' and a-shakin' like the Washington Monument, and just as I was ready to shoot, my head popped off and blood squirted all over the ceiling. And when it dried, it perfectly resembled the nativity scene by Hieronymous Bosch. Then Marilyn murmured, "Oh Jack," and I said, "Uh, thank you ma'am but you can call me MISTER Ruby!" So, later that night, as I drifted off to sleep, I said goodnight to Dallas, Texas and hello to a land dominated by nightmares and superstitious motorcades. Thirteen days later, I realized that my mother-in-law spoiled my marriage. (Oh yeah? What happened?) Well, my wife came home from work early one day and found us in bed together. By the way, what's your name? (Sirhan Sirhan.) Yeah yeah, I heard you the first time. post song titles and bands

Meet me tonight by the bombed out carnival We'll hide out where the house of mirrors is smashed up like an icicle field We'll hide in the Ferris Wheel car And we'll watch from the top as the cop sirens squeal, squeal Click! Click! Click! Click! Bang! Bang! Went my gun in the convenience store clerk's face "Give me all your fucking money" My voice quivered My hands wavered A little kid got it in the face He didn't have a chance Love Hounds is all we are We want it all right now Handsome young gentlemen Robbing and murdering in the afternoon Love Hounds is all we are We want it all right now Meet me tonight oh yeah in the abandoned planetarium We'll hide in the dark as the fake moons flicker and spark Meet me tonight by the burned down subway We'll write a burlesque about our bullet-ridden chests Click! Click! Click! Click! Bang! Bang! Wen my gun in the crowded supermarket Now everybody knows our face Our picture's in the paper Our face is on the camera We've got nowhere to go We're on the run Love hounds is all we are We ant it all righ know A gorgeous wild woman sings calypso funeral hymns in your getaway subway Love hounds is all we are We want it all right now Electrocuted streets, electrocuted city We've bloomed from liars to theives We make guitars sound pretty Electrocuted streets, electrocuted city We've bloomed from lovers to pornographers... We've bloomed from murderers to mass-murderers You know all I ever wanted was a little money in my pocket and my face on the 5 o'clock news Love Hounds is all we are We want it all right now We're swinging from the trees like piñatas for police to crack and eat and chew Love Hounds is all we are We want it all right now. beautiful song. song titles and bands......

God bless the daylight, The sugary smell of springtime, Remembering when you were mine, In a still suburban town. When every Thursday, I'd brave those mountain passes, And you'd skip your early classes, And we'd learn how our bodies worked.
Goddamn the black night, With all its foul temptations, I've become what I always hated, When I was with you there. We looked like giants In the back of my grey sub-compact, Fumbling to make contact, As the others slept inside.
And together there, In the shroud of frost, The mountain air began to pass Through every pane of weathered glass, And I held you closer than anyone would ever get.
Do you remember the JAMC? And reading aloud from magazines? I don't know about you, But I'd swear on my name, They could smell it on me. And I've never been too good with secrets, (No...)
All together there, In a shroud of frost, The mountain air began to pass Through every pane of weathered glass, And I held you closer...
You shouldn't need the title/band.

"Confessions Of A Futon-Revolutionist"
Held like water in you shaking hands are all the small defeats a day demands. 10-6 or 9-5 trying, dying to survive. Never knowing what survival means. Leave the apartment to buy alcohol. Hang our diplomas on the bathroom wall. Pick at the plaster chipped away, survey some stunning tooth decay, enlist the cat in the impending class-war. Let's lay our bad day down here, dear and make-believe we're strong, or hum some protest song. Like maybe "We Shall Overcome Someday." Overcome the stupid things we say. Say I needed more than this, say I needed one more kiss. We left that light on way too long now. Let's plant a bomb at city-hall and kill an MLA. We'll talk the night away. You call in sick, I'll quit the word-games that I play. I swear I way more than half believe it when I say that somewhere love and justice shine. Cynicism falls asleep. Tyranny talks to itself. Sappy slogans all come true. We forget to feed our fear.

EDIT THE SAD PARTS Sometimes all I really want to feel is love Sometimes I'm angry that I feel so angry Sometimes my feelings get in the way Of what I really feel I needed to say If you stand in a circle Then you'll all have a back to bite Back logged voices on the 7 wonders We're all so funny but he's lost his joke now A communication from the one lined joke A stand up comic and a rock musician Making so much noise you don't know when to listen Why are you judging people so damn hard You're taking your point of views a bit too far I made my shoes shine with my coal But my polish didn't shine the hole If you stand in a circle Then you'll all have a back to bite Back logged books on the 7 wonders We're all so funny but he's lost his joke now Our communications come from one lined joke From stand up comics and a rock musicians Making so much noise you don't know when to listen Think it over There's the air of the height of the highrollers Think it over You aint got nothing till ya know her

"Possum Kingdom" - Toadies
Make up your mind Decide to walk with me Around the lake tonight Around the lake tonight By my side By my side I'm not gonna lie I'll not be a gentleman Behind the boathouse I'll show you my dark secret
I'm not gonna lie I want you for mine My blushing bride My lover, be my lover, yeah...
Don't be afraid I didn't mean to scare you So help me, Jesus
I can promise you You'll stay as beautiful With dark hair And soft skin...forever Forever
Make up your mind Make up your mind And I'll promise you I will treat you well My sweet angel So help me, Jesus
(hey, hey, hey)
Give it up to me Give it up to me Do you wanna be My angel? So help me!
Be my angel Be my angel Do you wanna die? I promise you I will treat you well My sweet angel So help me, Jesus
Jesus Jesus Jesus...
Ever since I was told that this song is about a vampire, I have been convinced that it is the greatest song ever written. The Toadies are my favorite anything to have emerged from the 90's.

Insight
Guess your dreams always end They don't rise up just descend But I don't care anymore I've lost the will to want more I'm not afraid not at all I watch them all as they fall But I remember when we were young Those with habits of waste Their sense of style and good taste Of making sure you were right Hey don't you know you were right? I'm not afraid anymore I keep my eyes on the door But I remember Tears of sadness for you More upheaval for you Reflects a moment in time A special moment in time Yeah, we are wasted our time We didn't really have time But we remember when we were young And all of God's angels beware And all you judges beware Sons of chance, take good care For all the people not there I'm not afraid anymore (3) Oh, I'm not afraid anymore

Forget Her by Jeff Buckley
While this town is busy sleeping All the noises died away I walk the streets to stop my weeping But she'll never change her ways
Don't fool yourself She was heartache from the moment that you met her My heart feels so still As I try to find the will to forget her somehow Oh I think I've forgotten her now
Her love is a rose pale and dying Dropping her petals and man I know All full of wine the world before her But sober with no place to go
Don't fool yourself She was heartache from the moment that you met her My heart is frozen still As I try to find the will to forget her somehow She's somewhere out there now
Oh my tears folded down as I tried to forget Her love was a joke from the day that we met All of the words all of her men All of my pain when I think back to when Remember her hair as it shone in the sun It was there on the bed when I knew what she'd done Tell yourself over and over you wont ever need her again
But don't fool yourself She was heartache from the moment that you met her Oh my heart is frozen still As I try to find the will to forget her somehow She's out there somewhere now
Oh She was heartache from the day that i first met her My heart is frozen still As I try to find the will to forget you somehow 'Cause I know you're somewhere out there right now

Fix You - Coldplay When you try your best but you don't succeed When you get what you want but not what you need When you feel so tired but you can't sleep Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face When you lose something you can't replace when you love some one but it goes to waste could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you
And high up above or down below When you're too in love to let it go But if you never try you'll never know Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face When you lose something you cannot replace Tears stream down your face And I
Tears stream down your face I promise you I will learn from my mistakes Tears stream down your face And I
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you.

my morning jacket - "at dawn"
at dawn they ride again, they'll haul you out to the streets. They'll burn your papers and your empty trash cans, beat this thought into your head, singin over and over again: "all your life is obscene!" "forget the papers, forget your musical dreams!" but that's when my knife rises, their life ends and my life starts again!

Children are taught to hate, parents just couldn't wait Some are rich and some are poor, others will just suffer more Have you ever been ashamed and felt society try to keep you down? I begin to watch things change and see them turn around
Turn around, they'll try to keep you down Turn around, turn around Don't drag me down
Ignorance like a gun in hand, reach out to the promised land Your history books are full of lies, media-blitz gonna dry your eyes Have you ever been afraid, and felt society try to keep you down? I begin to watch things change and see them turn around
Turn around, they'll try to keep you down Turn around, turn around Don't drag me down
Ignorance like a gun in hand, reach out to the promised land Your history books, are full of lies, media-blitz gonna dry your eyes You're eighteen, wanna be a man Your granddaddy's in the Ku Klux Klan Taking two steps foward, and four steps back Gonna go to the White House and paint it black...
Turn around, they'll try to keep you down Turn around Turn around, they'll try to keep you down Turn around, turn around Don't drag me down

ain't love grand--atreyu gutted like a pig all you want is the world to bleed someone somewhere stole your desire the pain akin to being punched in the throat and stabbed in the chest you would rather bleed than be without her gone are the tender whispers dancing in your ears replaced with lackluster memories you cry your screams play in your empty room it's so hard to see when your eyes are rolling in the back of your head it's even harder to speak when everything you say just comes out wrong your bed swallows you whole as the days bleed together torment on the lips of a loved one and if you try hard enough you can almost taste her feel her pass and scream OH MY GOD WHY ME atreyu, you fuckin fag
