easy , bro. just because you don't dig sparta, doesn't mean you gotta judge our tastes. sparta and tmv are AT THE DRIVE-IN offspring. and if you s.h.i.t. on either of them, you don't support ATD-I. personally, i prefer ATD-I over these two bands. but who gives a phuck who's better. support music.

I stopped respecting Sparta after the s.hit they said in the latest SPIN magazine and after they released their "pop" video.

Um... maybe because Sparta's the only exATD-I band to release an album... that'd be my guess... I like Sparta... they sound like ATD-I in a way... not vocally, but musically and rhythmically, which would make sense 'cause they were their rhythm section...

It takes longer to make good music. TMV's album should be out by Feb or next year. Well worth the wait. Another thing I hate about Sparta: they put the songs from the EP on the album! That's bulls.hit! Why am I going to pay for the same songs twice? F.uck that noise! TMW's album is going to have either 8 or 11 songs, I think the latter. It's going to be great and it's going to blow Sparta's album out of the water. They rerecorded Roulette Dares and Cicatrix. The new keyboardist changed some of the keys in the new version of RD. All their new stuff is supposed to be great. I haven't had a chance to listen to it though. I'll probably get a chance to do that soon and I'll post my thoughts on it.

:: wearing Kurt Cobain shirt :: Yeah, Cortex, Nirvana is awesome... Bleach is a great album, raw and rawkin', In Utero is my favorite, it was like they perfected their sound. Nevermind is good, not my favorite, though. I kinda agree with Kurt that it was too slick. Better than almost anything released these days, though. Their Unplugged album is awesome, almost like a eulogy... oh yeah, for all those who have MTV2, Saturday is 24 hours of (Courtney) Love... maybe she'll show some Nirvana videos, or if I'm lucky, Smashing Pumpkins videos (Her and Billy Corgan used to date, you know... they're friends now, but .... long story)... I can guarantee that there'll be no Foo Fighters, though... fuck her if she can't... nevermind, I'm buzzing hard... budweiser is cool

Bleach or Nevermind... I think you'd like Bleach on the first listen, though... not many people today might, but you seem like someone who'd look past the marketing bullshyte... not that Nevermind was a highly commercial record in nature, just that it was slick... it is a masterpiece, though, still to this day... it's the album I listen to least now, but mainly 'cause it's the one I wore out the most, heh. Bleach is great, you'll like it.

Yeah, incesticide too... Dive... dive... dive... Dive's one of my fave Nirvana tunes... just so deep, in a Kurdt kinda way. Oh, did you all here, da Biatch is allowing the full Nirvana boxed set to come out this winter, along with "You Know You're Right"... they settled their differences, and according to Courtney, they love eachother now... of course, she was probably drunk. Plus, The Smashing Pumpkins are re-releasing Vieuphoria on DVD, with added coverage of Gish promo stuff and in the recording studio during the recording of Siamese Dream... fuck, that's guarranteed fireworks there... plus, they're rereleasing Earphoria too, the soundtrack. Good Kristmas this year, yo

November 19th... I'll definitely be getting that... if I win big in Vegas the previous weekend... flying back home for a weekend for my sis's 21st, I turned 21 last year, but haven't gambled yet... I don't think I'd be big on watching my money disappear, but who knows? That's going to be a must buy for me... I'll have to wait on the Nirvana Boxed set, though... too rich for my blood, maybe it'll pay for Courtneys' next (insert drug here) fix... nah, I like Hole and Courtneys music, but I can't stand her, though I respect that she has an attidude, unlike some silent little girl, you know?

I always like Pearl Jam a lot more than Nirvana even though Nirvana was cool.

you're right mercman, i can hear corgans voice already , singing MALIBU. it fits his style. i think he could sing it better than love.
pearl jam is pretty cool. but, nirvana's "punk" sound caught my attention. incoherent lyrics, insane chords, bad ass bass, DISTORTION!!!!, and just original ass music. grohl was the s.h.i.t. tooooo! #nosmileys

Yeah... Pearl Jam's cool and all, but Nirvana spoke to me more... I still like Pearl Jam, and I'm rooting for them, as they're one of the last of a dying breed... maybe if, god forbid, they break up, Eddie Vedder can join a band with Kim Thayil and Twiggy Ramirez and we can have another 90's necromanced awesome band, like QOTSA (Kyuss, Screaming Trees, Nirvana) and Audioslave. All of the good, none of the bad.
Oh, and Paranoid, did you know that "Crestfallen" from Adore was originally written for Celebrity Skin? I don't think Courtney could've pulled that one off... I don't know what Billy was thinking, that song is very un-Courtney. Oh, and "Shame" is about Michael Hutchence of INXS.
