I remember the Tony Hawk Demodisk. That was great, just the warehouse level and the same 2:00 clip of Goldfinger's Superman playing over and over.
I was watching some youtube videos of songs on THPS1 a month ago, getting nostalgic for the days right after I graduated high school, kicking it with my best friend, sparking one while trying to get all the gaps (or creating a new course and coming up with the rankest names for the gaps), never tiring of those same 8-10 songs playing over and over again, singing all the lyrics.
Then, I read the comments for the videos. "Wow, this vid brings back memories! I remember getting home from Kindergarten and playing some Tony Hawk before Pokemon."
I feel old.

how old is everyone? i'm 23.
i hate how people younger than me don't know about the atari 2600. my friend cynthia, is 20 and she had no idea what an atari was or looked like. i also hate when younger kids talk about cool stuff, stuff that i like, and associate it with pokemon. fuck pokemon. damn you pickachu.........

I'm 27. And I loved the 2600... even the ET game (I also liked the Back to the Future NES game, I'm somewhat of a masochist when it comes to video games). The Donkey Kong game for the Atari was good, too, until they came out with the Donkey Kong/Donkey Kong Jr. cart for the NES.
I don't have the Wii yet, but I might sell my kidney for one with the new Smash Bros. game. I just saw a pic of Link fighting Little Mac from Punch-Out (007-373-5963). Between him, Sonic and Solid Snake, it makes for a nice combination.

et is a rough game man. word has it, that there is a landfill loaded with et atari carts.
the 2600 is my favorite system. i dominate in space invaders and asteroids. i was pretty ill like 16 months ago. and during my recovery i had a ton of free time, where i couldn't really do anything. and i seriously thought about trying an attempt to break the highest score record for asteroids, but after doing the math, it would have taking me just over 72 hours of continuous gameplay. i know i could of done it, but i'd come across as being a huge dork for doing it. (although i've come across as a huge dork just by bringing it up)
i also strive for perfection on atari bowling, but have failed. every time.

Yeah, I found this article about how you can buy the connector that the cartridge plugs into for the NES for 7 bucks. That's the part that fucked up on all the NES's, and changing it out basically makes it a new system. Then I found out that they threw out my old NES at home.
So for now, it's NESticle for me.
