i have come to the decision that i will get a tattoo in remembrance of my brother (as posted in the new thread...thread), and the first thing that came to mind was the cover of alice in chains' "nothing safe" album. it is only appropriate because i owe a large part of my music fanaticism to him, and the single "get born again" is all too fitting. i don't know how this would translate into a tat because of the extensive negative space and shading. i don't think i'd want any color in my tat, and it would go right on my side from the top of the hip up to the middle of the ribcage. i'm not deadset on this design for the tattoo, but i'm just trying to get some basic feedback and see if it is reasonable. once i am more confident in the design choice i make, and i may end up drawing my own design if it comes down to it, i'll consult some local artists and get the real details. until then, you are my critics and advisers.

fairly difficult but doable. I would trust an artist that charges per hour. Also, I would expect a sample drawing of the potential tattoo, if it looks good, do it.

I think it would look neat ...sample drawings are key! you could invert the current color scheme ... then the black parts become skin
