if it's true then that sucks. Weezer is horrible and Sam Rivers-the singer and guitar player- writes their songs in five minutes.

SAM RIVERS? who the phuck is sam rivers? anyways,
WEEZER is a cool phucking band for the fact that they have a billion different b-sides which they let you download off their site. free phucking music from the band's own site. it's about the music. also the riffs are bad ass, melodies are well put together, sure a majority of the songs are love songs, with riffs to back it up. 5 minutes to make up a song, i'd think that would be considered a talent. music in the blood. also, they leeked out their new album(demos) thru their site as well. the OFFSPRING were gonna do that s.h.i.t. before, but their major label stepped in thinking they would lose the $$$. WEEZER bypassed thru all that s.h.i.t. and did it anyways....i would like to also add that they give a good ass show.
so it's cool if you think they suck but please do your homework and get the singers name right, ok, thanx a million buddy

i think weezer is cool for having the free sh*t on their site, too. but they're just a bit lacking on musicianship. they have good, ear-catching tunes, and they have a talent for coming up with songs like that. but most of their songs have the same arrangment. same rythm. green day does it, too. they both have musical talent, yeah, but its all three or four chords plus a little one-string lick or two. they're a great band, and that's just one downside to them. atdi was great in having a huge variety of weird guitars and expermental drums in every song. they expressed feeling in their music. weezer just doesn't do this as well, thats all.
but like i said, i think it's really f*cking cool that they do the free thing. it shows a sincerity to the fans and to the wanting to get their music heard that most bands today don't have.

yo, yo. theres no sense in comparing weezer to atdi. there is no similairity. but they both kick ass.
whoah ohhhh, say it ain't sooowooahoahoooo
i dont care what anybody says, green day kicks ass too. warning is a good cd. too bad they tour with blink, though

i heard the strokes cancelled a bunch of their shows. i guess the singer phucked up his foot.... once, fat mike jacked up his back so he played bass and sang on a couch on stage. thats bad ass

thats fuck*n cool that some people can be so into it like that.
dude i bought a/the alien ant farm album and i think its dope. mostly cause the drummer does some amazing sh*t. u reminded me of that cause they got in a van wreck and they had to cancel some shows and sh*t cause the singer broke his back or something.

Heh, on the same day, working backstage at the Warped Tour last year, my girlfriend met the lead singer from Alien Ant Farm and Tim Armstrong from Rancid. I was jealous as hell, but it was all good. Talk about a good day.

I WANT YOUR F*CKING JOB!!! How did you end up with it?
ok, band camp. got there, roomed with a buddy and a fellow fan od ATDI, TMV, etc. first thing we did was get in trouble by some couselers for playing vaya too loud. then punkorama(7). we made sure that everyday, at least once, we got told to TURN OUR STEREO DOWN!! the couselers were some da*n punks. some guys played guitar and all that...i found two drummers and talked to them. met some girls, made some friends...had fun. this one time we almost got sent home for throwing sh*t our of our window at like 1 o clock in the morning...some guy called us hell raisers. we woke up at like 6 very morning (early!) and periodically i could come back to the dorm room (we stayed in dorm rooms) and nap, listen to music and just chill...eat snacks...it was cool. or i could go to the student center and chill with the peeps that i met. we messed our room up, man. they didn't let us go home till we cleaned it up a lot. they would come in to wake us up in the morning and they'd be like 'clean this place up!' so we'd sweep everything under our beds and be like ok.
this friend of mine, he broke his finger real bad thumping another guy in the shoulder (i saw it all happen, it was very strange). he thought he had just popped a blood vessel, so he was just chillin, playing bass with a fractured finger for three days. (try that, andy.) he finally went to the doctor and the doctor totally freaked out at it, thought he might have gangrene or some shi*t and that they a had to do surgery. so he ended up with, get this, a little pin sticking up about half an inch out of his finger going down inside his bone to hyperextend it, and an actual button threaded onto the pad of his finger, with the thread coming out on the fingernail side. weird sh*t.
well, my hands are tired...good day.

I got the job just because my girlfriend's friend (now my friend, too) had gotten a job at the ampitheatre as soon as it opened, and my girlfriend had just moved back in town, so she hooked her up with the job, and then when I moved here a few months later, they hooked me up. They're hiring all the time, though. Just call your local concert venue, and ask about employment as event staff. The only things that suck are that you have to tell people "no", that always sucks, like if they wanna go backstage or something, and you can't accept gifts, which really sucks, 'cause people offer you money, bud, and more, but the "more" is usually only offered to girls by horny drunk old guys.

btw, sounds like bandcamp kicked ass. Punkorama 7 is awesome, I'd like to have blasted Dropkick Murphys up to 11 and throw shit at people when I went to High School. Unfortunately, my High School's idea of bandcamp was to show up at the secondary football field at 7 in the morning and stay 'til 12, in Barstow, California, the armpit of Southern California, in up to 115 degree heat. Shows how cheap my school was, heh.

i'm kinda bummed out with punk-o-rama 7! every every punk-o-rama that comes out, i love that NOFX comes out with an unreleased song (with the exception of 1 and 4) but i always look forward into having this "UNRELEASED" gem in my collection. but instead they put olympia, wa...on the NOFX/RANCID split. so it is not unreleased at all.

i just bought punkorama 5 like 2 days ago so i haven't gotten into it yet. also, i got the thursday album today...haven't listened to a song yet. i don't have any other punkorama's to compare 7 to besides that one..
well, i hope i can get a job like that when i'm old enough. it sounds so kick-ass. do you travel? and do you get like free tickets and sh*t?
i still got summer band coming up, and thats like more what you described. talk about cheap school...my middle school was so poor compared to other schools. i'm going to the high school this year. what did you play in band?
