oh, um and to answer my own question.... ok. so im not a vetran of ATDI. i got into them after listening to ROC. but it took some convincing. i was kinda weary of all the new crappy bands that had (and still are) been emerging, so i was reluctant to give them a shot. but my boss at the time, who is a fellow anal music lover, encouraged me strongly to check them out. but i still didn't. but he wasn't the type to be persistant about a whole lot of things, and he kept telling me to check them out cause, according to him, he KNEW i would like them. so i gave in. i bought ROC and wouldn't you know. hot diggity damm. he was right. now i have all copies of all their albums, and they have become one of my very favorite bands.
wanna know what else? i was going to see them on the ROC tour the first time around, just to check em out, but i flaked out and it got to be too late. then, on their second time here, to seattle, i was about to buy tickets and guess what!? yup you got it. they broke up.
wanna know yet something else? a couple of years ago i was going to go see RATM and the Beasties at the Gorge. the thursday before the saturday that i was going to buy tickets i heard they cancelled the show. that was because Mike D fell off his bike and broke his collar bone. AND GUESS WHAT? about a year ago i found out that ATDI was opening for them. now thats some dumb f''king luck, huh? so yeah, I never had the opportunity to see them live. AND GODDDAMMMITTT!!! i wish i could go back in time.
and i am 20

Yo I be 18. :::laughs:::
I first heard ATDI on a mixed tape. The song was For Now-We Toast. It was my favorite song on the tape! I then bought In/Casino/Out. I loved Hourglass and Hulahoop Wounds. After In/Casino/Out I bought Relationship of Command. I own all of their records now, and like all of them. I only wish I could have seen them play! I bet they were amazing. Did anyone see them? I can only imagine how much they rocked out. Well that is my story.

I'm 16. The first time i heard about ATD-I, it was on Musiqueplus (MTV-like) at my aunts house because i don't have the cable or anything. I thought i'd download One armed scissor to see what it sounded like and i thought it was ok but not really good. I almost forgot about ATD-I during two weeks, then I downloaded other songs and i was totally blown away. I went instnly to the record store and bought ROC.

im 18 and i first got into atdi when i first fell in love with mtv 2. To be honest i turned the tv off when the one armed scissor video came on. One time i was too lazy to turn it off and i listened to the whole song. Then i purposely didnt turn it off and then i wanted the video to be on and then i downloaded the song plus the other 10 tracks of the album than i bought the album then i bought vaya then i bought acrobatic tenement then i found out they were broken up then i got a tattoo of the gasmask then i realized i loved them. If you want to know what it feels like to be a teenager just listen to Ticklish on Acrobatic Tenement. They arent broken up if you can still listen to their cds and punch at the air.
