This is a thread to let everyone here at face crime that you've found a new band. Now, it may not be new to other people, but if it's new to you, than preech on broham! I've found two new bands this week:
The Postal Service and Planes Mistaken for Stars. If you like Radiohead and retro music (Cure, Joy Divsion) you should def download some Postal Service. And if youre into Thursday and Glassjaw than Planes Mistaken for Stars is right up your alley.

...yeah, i blindly bought the blood brothers "burn, piano island, burn" only because of the good things you said about it on this board (my dumbass computer won't let me download anything ), and i fell in love with it...i really, really like "ambulance vs. ambulance."

i'm digging the album too mother prussia. yo cokes...do me a favor, loco. go to this link www.thegoodnorth.com/music.htm and download DEFINE WORTH WAITING. i think you would enjoy this song. if not, sue me. also, planes mistaken for stars are pretty cool. i think i have some jams on a compilation "elm tree" or "deep elm" something of that nature. some bigtime EMO label.

That song is really good paranoid, thanks for the tip. They sound a lot like Placebo. Is the bands name the Great North, or the site?

I checked out Cut Self Not by Faraquet. Very good stuff. I like the way it sounds kinda jazzy at times.

The Cooper Temple Clause-if you haven't checked these guys out yet then you should damn you! Download A.I.M. (the song rather then the programme:) from Kazaa or soulseek or whatever you use Whirlwind Heat-I saw them supporting the white stripes a few weeks back and they were amazing. They have an awesomely original sound and they rock live. You can download a song here www.selfstarterfoundation.com/NYC/2003_04_08_index.htmlDavid W

Unwed Sailor - if you like instrumental music then you should check these dudes out. They play the kind of music like Faraquet and American Football, except without the words. Recommened listening: "The Faithful Anchor"
