I think you're gonna win with that one. Recording date wise, the best I can do is Woody Guthrie, Cab Calloway, the Carter Family all from the 1930s. I have one Billie Holiday song from 1930.

Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, those are some good ones, Billie Holiday and Etta James are awesome, but they're more blues-singers... oh, can't forget Satch'mo Louis Armstrong.
I like Oldies. I can't name half of 'em, but I used to listen all the time. Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Malo, War (do they count as "oldies"?), Dion, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Marvin Gaye, the Four Tops, the Temptations, the Fifth Dimension, and the VERY underatted Tommy James and the Shondelles ("Mony Mony", "I Think We're Alone Now", "Crystal Blue Persuasion").
Oldie song of the moment (inside my head): "Don't Let No One Get You Down" by War

Yeah, in Barstow, all the highway stations between LA and Vegas were either adult contemporary or oldies, and my uncle has a massive collection of Motown, Lowrider Oldies, 70's Funk and Soul, and 80's and 90's rap and hip-hop, so that's what I listened to from 90-98 (I was raised on MTV, but when "gangsta rap (oh no!)" became popular, my parents didn't let me watch, hence I missed out on the 90's rock revolution until buying Adore in '98).
Hold on, I have a shoutout here... Chaco in West Valley says to Sad Eyes in South Gate. "Eres mi firme ruca solamente, the other man-bitches here mean nothing to me..." so, especially for you Sad Eyes, here's "I'm Your Puppet"...

Does classical music count? Some of the stuff I have is from the sixteen and seventeen hundreds.

It wasn't recorded in the sixteen-seventeen hudreds, so I say it can't count.

Oh, that's what you mean. Nevermind then. I think I have some Miles Davis stuff on tape, but I've never listened to it. After that, the oldest I can think of is Beggars Banquet by the Rolling Stones.
