the decoder rocks! but as for the album, well cygnus was probably my favourite and then cassandra and then l'via. im not a fan of miranda or the widow :\ but deloused is by far my favourite release by them and then tremulant - the little ep that could

de-loused was 10x better

yeah theyre both unique, but de-loused is still better i think that jeremy might have had something to do with it? i dunno, it just feels like there wasnt as much element of genius in frances than there was in de-loused... its just like they were trying too hard to be experimental, but had no real direction

yeah cassandra actually gets boring... i mean, i know that they wanted you to have to really really get into it to enjoy it, but i dont think the reward was there if you put in the effort lets hope paul can bring in some ...better ideas

the drumming is great on frances the mute, but the production of the drums sounds horrendous. deloused was so much better in that aspect. also, deloused had songs and long jams in the middle of the songs. frances has songs, but you have to look hard. the widow was an obvious choice for a first single because, well, it was 3 minutes long.

i think the production of the whole album wasnt very good there was a lot of stuff happening in any given song - but none of the instruments had much clarity at all. it was just a big complicated muffle
