"The Mars Volta regretfully announces the cancellation of the remainder of its current European tour due to health issues. Band leader Omar Rodriguez-Lopez began experiencing abdominal pains at the tour's outset that have since become severe to the point of hampering his live performance and requiring immediate medical attention. The Mars Volta plan to resume touring this fall, as special guests on System of a Down's US Tour."
