GSL is pleased to announce the vinyl version of the follow-up album to THE MARS VOLTA's 2003 debut full-length, "De-Loused in the Comatorium." Entitled "Frances the Mute", the new album features the solidifed lineup of founders Omar A. Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala, with Jon Theodore (drums), Juan Carrera (bass) and Marcell Rodriguez-Lopez (percussion). Once again, album art is in the hands of legendary UK surrealist Storm Thorgerson, and promises to be a mind-bender. Additionally, the double album includes a FREE bonus 12-inch single (technically GSL95) of the title track, which not only "decodes" all those on the album, but is not actually included on the album itself! Deluxe packaging includes a poster and split-colored vinyl. Tracks: 1. "Cygnus Vismund Cygnus" 2. "El Viudo" 3. "L' Via Le Viaquez" 4. "Miranda, That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore" 5. "Cassandra Gemini

The Comatorium (the only place I've checked) has taken down the track list. I guess they're gonna wait till everything's final. You can go check it out. Strange titles either way. Nothing new for TMV though

There is also a Mars Volta DVD coming out in February. A live one, possibly from their show at the Electric Ballroom

Nothing new for TMV though on [gsl] there is no track list too... they remove it. maybe it means that there will be more songs on the album??

I wish some kind of official word would come out about the DVD, I can't wait for it! I hear it's already been on On Demand, why not go ahead and release it?

i hope the new album isn't five songs that are each twenty minutes long... all that jamming and improv gets boring after a while, i can barely stand Cicatriz...

you don't like "twenty-minutes-long" songs?? i love them! cicatriz is a great song.
anyway, i want the FAST songs

i can stand them if it's not the same thing repeated over and over again, like the noises that sound like dripping water in Cicatriz, it just gets boring after a couple minutes. but say its a song like stairway to heaven (i know its not a twenty minute long song), where you dont really hear the same part of the song twice, thats what i like.

long ass songs are good for when you're in the mood to actually listen to music properly but when you just feel like relaxing it does not work
