1. The Arcade Fire - I just bought their debut CD yesterday, entitled FUNERAL, and its probably one of the best CDs I've heard all year... if you like Cursive, then you'll definitely love this band. The use a lot of strings and violins but they also have that indie rock sound, songs you should download are: "Neighborhood #2 (Laika)," "Une Annee Sans Lumiere," and "Wake Up."
2. Explosions in the Sky - great instrumental band that sound a lot like Mogwai, got both of their CDs the other day and I'm enjoying them very much... download "Have you Passed Through this Night" and "Your Hand in Mine."

i saw paris, texas over the summer, they were very energetic, but nothing really stuck out, and i really didn't like the vocals...
explosions in the sky is the best instrumental music i've heard, but i'm still not big on the whole post rock thing...
i've heard a lot about the arcade fire, so i should check them out...
...i'm kinda getting into shellac right now...steve albini's group, you know...been around for a while...
