Gang of Four - Damaged Goods 80s intro. Bit like the Cure, but a more punkish vox. Are these guys from London or are they pretending they are? Horrific middle eight. I thought it was going to go somewhere at first, but...it didn't.

Ok, Para, MP3s to host for these boys. I presume we want odd-ball stuff, not stuff from more famous artists. Things you might like Do we all know Iron & Wine? He's on Sub Pop, as so many good new artists are, just one guy and his acoustic, occasional slide guitar overdub, that's it. Your track is "Promising Light". But the boys here probably know him already. Try them for Frank Zappa's "Peaches in Regalia". Classic tune. Nick Drake "Saturday Sun" Squeeze - "Pulling Mussels from a shell", cos I'm listening to it right now. Booker T and the MGS - "Green Onions" The American boys may not have heard of Ikara Colt. I was into them maybe 3years ago. Your track to try is "One Note" If we already know all that stuff, say so, and I can suggest some more out of the way stuff.
If you'll are not into New Wave at all, I can start you off. Just say the word.

Karate - Airport. By far the best put up here so far. Total Jazz that one. Sweet. I'll search em out. Is this their relaxed one, or are they this clissful all the time.

Yeah, the Zappa, I thought that was the best yet. We're getting better. This is Zappa solo from the Mother of Invetion. It's pure Jazz-Rock. This one is probably the most accessible. Track one on 1973's(?) Hot Rats album. I've got a vid of them performing it. Awesome stuff all round. Pioneer.

Is the guy from Karate gay then? why's that? meaning why would you question his sensitive side?

i downloaded television's "marquee moon" and french toast's "breakfast". the breakfast song didn't do much for me. i will admit that i only listened to it once or twice...i was kind of hoping for a quirky song like the "i love toast" song, but i was disappointed with a disarrayed emo song about eating moldy breakfast foods to spite the ones who would not return the love you tried to so hard to give...ok, so that's not the real aim of the song, but if it was, i probably would have liked it a lot more.
television, however, caught my interest. i was checking my email and whatnot while i was listening to it and its very good background music. i enjoy the simplicity of the song...and i enjoyed the extended jam. i like hearing a guitarist who can reserve himself, unlike me. i enjoyed the vocalist's sound and the overall feel of the song. the only thing i would ask for is more rhythmic variation. its hard to make an 11 minute long song and not get repetative.
