i believe he is implying that it is some other band who made a song and put the strokes name on it to promote their music...but i may be wrong. this happened a lot when napster got big; i don't know how many times i thought i had found some rare alice in chains song that turned out to be a lame take on their sound.

para, to be honest i never got into the strokes...or many of the rock bands that seemed to be associated with the (the white stripes, the hives...i'm sure there are others). i don't dislike them or anything, they just never touched me in that special place...however the black keys touch me there over and over.

oh, I liked them when they came out, listened to them all the time, then got bored and realised they were idiots and the music was boring, and found proper good music. Hives likewise.

para, soma is probably the weakest on that album and is nowherte near as good as Smashing Pumpkins "Soma".
